Maki’s mother is here and today we are going to take him to visit his dad for the first time. He’s been fascinated by the website and reading posts and comments and looking at the pictures just like many of you have. Of course we have been honestly discussing Vernon’s situation and progress all week, often helped along with that fantastic British sense of humor. And he says he is ready. It’s going to be a special day. I’m really proud of him…this whole ordeal may very well be the thing that makes him a young man. It’s a beautiful (and slightly heartbreaking) thing to watch.

What a positive perspective! Blessings on today…I pray that Maki will be comforted and strengthened by the Lord as he visits his father. So happy for him that his mom came all the way here to be by his side.
Yes! I am so happy she is here…someone who has a shoulder he can truly relax into. She only came the other day but has been an angel to us all.
Maki, Hope today went good for you. I know your Dad will be proud when we tell him how you’ve taken such good care of your sister and Ali while he’s healing.
Prayers will go with you and your son to the hospital. How old is Maki? God be with all of you and Vernon.
Hugs,
Becky

Hi Allison,
I recently discovered your dad’s blog and heard the latest news about your husband…my heart hurts for you. Please know you’re all especially in my thoughts and I’m praying for swift healing from this side of the world (Australia) 🙂
with love,
Kat
ps(not sure if you remember me, but I went to Junior High with you in PNG, and I met up with your parents in Langley BC when I was a newbie there. They kindly let me borrow their house for a little while I waited for my work visa to come through!)
Tonight I have spent about an hour viewing Vernon’s website and reading all of the updates and some of the comments about his recovery. I have never met Vernon. I met his beautiful wife Allison, twice – – – – once when she was about 3 months old ( at Portuguese Bend Club – remember Anne?) and much later as a young woman.- but she doesn’t know me very well. I followed Vernon’s recovery since the accident and have been amazed at the incredible conversations, updates and communications we have all been blessed to be apart of. I have been introduced to Vernon because of this tragic accident. I must say——- darling Allison is an amazing, beautiful, loving woman. She is so expressive – and can articulately and beautifully take us all to a better place. She is positive, inspiring and an adorable, beautiful sweetheart. Allison has an amazing ability to artfully describe anything she wants to say and delivers a picture that is true to what she is saying. You feel everything she feels and can put yourself in her room, or car, or house – what a precious gift she is to all of you. I am praying for Vernon’s recovery and peace, comfort and celebration to his family and friends. Judi
