“Hope” is the thing with feathers –
That perches in the soul –
And sings the tune without the words –
And never stops – at all –
And sweetest – in the Gale – is heard –
And sore must be the storm –
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm –
I’ve heard it in the chillest land –
And on the strangest Sea –
Yet – never – in Extremity,
It asked a crumb – of me.

Allison how is it that you give us all such gifts in the hardest of times? Surely you hold the hand if grace. Thank you immensely.
What a sweet thing to say, Patti. You reminded me of this poem some months ago…can’t remember why…but I remember that you did.
I agree with Patti. Thank you for the gift of grace and honesty. Your transparency through this has been a gift and an example to all of us. Your creativity in the midst of it is beautiful and transforming. We all get to grow with you.
So well said. I agree with Kevin.
Thank you, Allison.
Beautiful.
So beautiful, I could see this in a book of poems. Touches my heart! XO
Beautiful…xoxo
Just beautiful – always love the pictures that you choose. Looks like Sandy’s beach 😉
beautiful Allison …WOW!! how justine has grown!! thought of you all yesterday as we walked around HAY~ON~WYE in the rain!! (yes we seem to have rain!) xx love to you all xx
Beautiful sentiments which we all relate to, Allison. Your “special” dress shop in Hay is about to close – so sad. Lovely shots of Justine. Love and kisses to you Vernon and Justine. Love as always. Mum & Dad xxx
Hi! Are you in Hay on Wye with the Corbins? How lovely for you all to be together there again. Great memories there. Thanks for commenting. Justine is lovely as ever…and gaining in vocabulary by the day.Yesterday, she added the word ‘exasperated.’ Her favorite book is an encyclopedia of the human body and how it works. Blood and guts and all that! 🙂
yes Allison we went back to Hay on Wye for the day, while staying in Herefordshire for the week, very happy memories, from that holiday we all had two years ago, all those books and those happy chats over coffee ,however we missed the festival this time!! like mum said that clothes shop, you got that unusual grey skirt from, is closing down. … we are back home now, and can get on the computer for a proper catch up on all your updates!! love and hugs xx
patti and kevin expressed such beautiful and true sentiments – no more need be said!
your photos are lovingly woven with emily’s poem…touched my heart… your sweet depth of emotion and stunning creativity astounds. <3
Allison and Justine,
So glad to see Justine running on the beach. Beside her Dad she needs to get out run. She is so beautiful.
Love,
Becky
Breathtaking…
Wow. What an amazing set of photos and aptly chosen verse. She is always in motion, full of excitement and wonder! 🙂
