Vernon continues in a heavily sedated coma with constant monitoring. While signs are mostly good for slow but steady recovery, today Allison was told that there is some evidence of pneumonia developing in his right lung. We know that this is not unusual in this situation, but it is still worrisome. The pulmonary doctor will be checking and keeping close watch on this situation. Please pray that he does not develop pneumonia, and that his lungs will remain clear while he is in this fragile state.
Also, the surgeons are planning to do additional work on Vernon’s jaw on Friday. They also want to work on his arm if there is time while his is in the operating theater. Apparently there is some urgency to repair the break in Vernon’s left arm but he can only tolerate only so much time that they can have him in surgery. Please pray that the doctors will have great wisdom as they make decisions and do what is necessary to move Vernon toward full recovery.

We are praying for Vernon and your family with all our heart and soul. We love you!
I am so sorry for the heartache you and those who love you are suffering, Allison and Vernon. I commit to pray for you throughout this trial. Over and over again I’m reminded of the comforting words of Psalm 23:
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I shall fear no evil, for You are with me.”
Hold on to that truth!
